Have a problem with notes?
What is the fastest way to take notes? To take a pen and a sheet of paper and try to write as fast as you can? To make a reminder? To call a friend and ask him to remind you the important things later? AnalogueBits has a better idea. The company released a new single use application called Noted! With Noted! You are able to make notes on the go without stopping or even slowing down. You can email notes to yourself and read them calmly later.
Noted! Is very simple in use. As its only mission is to help you email your notes quickly it doesn’t have any needless functions. You can only write a note, send it, clear the screen and hide the keyboard. That’s all. You should set up the email address you are going to send the message to. It may seem a little inconvenient but the developers thought that people usually have one email address, so they tried to save user’s time. Still if you want, you can change the address (the settings are in the iOS settings app).
Yes, Noted! is a single use app but nevertheless it can be used for other purposes. For example, if you send emails to twitter it becomes a really fast tweeting utility. You can also try to interface Noted! with other popular services such as Remember the Milk or Evernote.
I’m sure there are other uses of this extremely functional app. Its only drawback is that the app sends mail through third party servers. Of course, many people don’t care if someone sees their notes, but there are users who like privacy and hate the idea of their mail being read. They would like to be able to have a choice between the third party server and the one they own. Hope such function will appear in the next version of Noted!
Except for this little shortcoming Noted! is an excellent and fast note taker. It is cheap, useful, functional and simple. Such combination of features is worth your attention.
